Radical Collaboration

Rinn empowers radical collaboration that operates across multiple research bodies in partnership with industry, government and wider stakeholders to create a unique research and innovation ecosystem of international significance and scale. 

Launched in June 2026, the Rinn network, has been established to address the key challenges and opportunities of our time through excellence in research and innovation – igniting the next generation of positive societal, economic and environmental transformation for Ireland and the world.

Through a coordinated and strategic approach, supported by the Rinn Network Team at Research Ireland, Rinn is designed to deliver solutions with real-world impact. The network works in partnership with industry, communities, policymakers and wider society to ensure research is shaped by those most affected by the challenges it seeks to address and those who stand to benefit most from its outcomes. In doing so, Rinn provides access to a multidisciplinary research capability that can respond more effectively to complex, system-level challenges through shared expertise, insight and capacity. 

Rinn advances research and innovation across Ireland’s areas of strategic strength, including advanced therapies, artificial intelligence, energy, medical devices, pharma and biopharma, quantum technologies, and semiconductors. Together, these interconnected capabilities form a powerful constellation of expertise that positions Ireland at the forefront of research-driven innovation and impact.
